I'm still here
Got a raise at work, yes 'tis the same workplace I speak of. And I have come to find after all these years that people who work in college admissions offices are bad about getting things processed. Very bad.
I read an article while sitting in a waiting room recently. It was about different men around the world being interviewed in order to obtain a feel for how mentality changes around the world. One of the questions was "who do you think is the most beautiful person in the world?" The American men all answered with the name of a model or actress, while most of the European men answered with really sweet sentiments about their wives or girlfriends. I was like hmm, maybe I should move to Greece. lol. It just fed my theory though that in the US women are almost viewed as dispensible, and greatly underappreciated in most cases. I'm too courtly love-esque old-fashioned I guess, therefore I belong in Europe. That's a horrible line of reasoning isn't it?
In short, I'm still here. Enjoying this Friday off work with pay. Tomorrow will be a different story.
