Talking with Zack about my dad and Brokeback Mountain ("a nice father daughter picture"):
Lena: My dad liked it. He says it's a nice father-daughter picture, because Heath Ledger wouldn't take time off of work for Jake Gyllenthal or the Dawson's Creek girl, but he took time off for his daughter's wedding.
Zack: Uh huh.
Lena: He said he'd take time off for my wedding, if i ever got married.
Zack: That's nice.
Lena: Do you think he'd cry at my wedding?
Zack: I'm sure he would. I bet my dad would too.
Lena: (teasing) What if I married somebody else?
Zack: Then he'd really cry.
Awwww, so sweet.
I'm sick and I'm trying to get better so that I can taste the fancy good at the nice anniversary dinner we're having tonight. I'm making myself chicken soup with garlic and red peppers and resting.
