Rondes des Collines Niçoises

Apr 05, 2009 20:28

Not a race with a time that is worth recording. I did it in about 1h30 but it's a weird distance (17.x km) and has some really buggers of hills so it isn't worth comparing.

The course is at the back of Nice through the only vinyards of the Alpes Maritimes - the Domaine de Bellet

There were about 800 participants and it was in fact (hills aside) great fun. There were 6 refreshment stops each supplied with wine from a local winery as well as water food etc. There were also many runners in costume and a load of walkers too (some also costumed) and when we were done we got lunch thrown in too. The views were spectacular.

I've got pictures at my flickr page, and this is the course description (in french - PDF) from the Spiradon Côte d'Azur website.
