But now, thankfully they can be remembered and renowned for their courage and the sacrifices they undertook to liberate their country and even outsiders like me can learn about their courageous spirit and appreciate and respect those heroes, despite the outcome.
I have become seriously interested in the Warsaw Uprising and am currently planning on writing an extended piece about it. I also just ordered a copy of the film "Kanał" and will watch it as soon as it arrives. You probably know this already but it was, apparently, the first movie about the Warsaw Uprising.
And long live Polish stubborness ;D.
