So I've got this huge reading list from Uni. We're supposed to read a certain list of books before our bachelor exams. So what, you say? Nothing, except I'm nowhere on this list. A few poems, some short stories, that's all. What remains? Uh, War and Peace, for one and Crime and Punishment. Other, less known things, like A day in the life of Ivan Denisowitch, by Solzhenitsyn. That's the one I plan to read next. Sometimes I wonder. I do like Russian Lit, I really do. Pushkin is my favourite author. His short stories are are one of the most perfect things I've read in a long time. But I'd rather read the English classics.
Maybe I'll get somewhere if I publicly state my intent to read a book. And then post a short review. Which I then could save in my files for reference... Sounds like a plan. The book is really short. Deadline: end of next week. Let's see, whether this works. If it does, I'll have to do this for my papers, too.... I'm an eternal procrastinator! I need deadlines and a whip to get things done. How awful is that?
