I AM EXTREMELY PISSED OFF RIGHT NOW.
Have you heard of Pink's 'Stupid Girls'? No? Have you heard of 50 Cent's 'Candy Shop'? Yeah? Exactly. Stupid Girls by Pink is an extremely true song, and it has a good message that people need to frigging hear. Candy Shop by 50 Cent is stupid repetitive sexism.
On Much Music (The MTV of Canada), they play the hip hop and pop that sounds really crappy, and tells people what to think, and it's ALWAYS ON. They've played Stupid Girls maybe once. It makes me really pissed off. Somebody needs to hear about this. People have to do something about this. It's not the music video, or the song, it's SOCIETY.
Barbies tell little girls that it's cool to be dumb, and be someone you're not. On the My Scene website, a setting was a sleepover, and one of the characters said something along the lines of "no boys are allowed to the sleepover, but that doesnt mean we can't think of them!".
