I searched for the book on amazon but can't find it. Do you have it? Is it a children's book?

I think it's a teen book. My copy is in a box somewhere but I actually thing the library has it. And it might possibly be written by Jane Yolen- maybe... It was an ok book, not great. It just was an interesting point of view.

So I just found the book to which I think you're referring. It's not by Jane Yolen; it's by Donna Jo Napoli. Anyway, I really want to read it now.

yeah well, last night i watched disney's Hercules, which is nowhere near as good as Beauty and the Beast, but it got got me back into my disney/childhood nostalgia period. (it usually happens around this time every year.) so then i started browsing through wikipedia articles on a bunch of disney movies, and i found the Beast book. anyway, today i looked at my university library and they don't have the book. i guess i have to wait until summer.
