One Week

In One Weeks time I will be gone.  I will be on the road heading out on my grand adventure.  First I will be traveling down the west coast to San Francisco where I'll stop for a few days and visit with my siblings.  From there I will head east.  Don't have exact plans laid out yet, though pondering a stop in Los Vegas, even though I'm not a big gambler, still it could be fun, and it is one of those places that seems like a person should see it at least once in life.  Maybe I'd take in a show or something.  I don't really know.  I'm not packed yet, and I have yet to tie down an apartment for when I arrive which freaks me the hell out.  Panic has not yet set in, but it is quickly approaching.

The Key for the next few days is to get done what has to get done.  For that purpose I will make a list right here, right now with the hope that I will then have some motivation to get it all done.

1. Get an Apartment lined up for when I arrive. (So I can have an address to give people)
2. Sort and go through all items, eliminating anything I don't want/need in Prescott
3. Pack all belongings.
4. Map out and plan out route and possible activities for the journey
5. Take car to get tires checked
6. Sell books/get something to read for the trip
7. Get Camping supplies together
8. Remember to Breathe, that it is all going to work out, and what I am doing is brave not impossible.

My current apartment is small and I have not gotten that much more then what I came here with so the eliminating and packing part should not be all that difficult.  The worst parts being that I don't want to load the car too soon, and I have to leave some stuff out to wear and use for the actual trip.

While not having the apartment in place is the thing that freaks me out the most, it really isn't that important that I have a place before I leave.   It will take me approximately a week to arrive in Prescott via San Fran, so really I have at least 2 weeks before I arrive needing a place to stay, and I will have my camping gear, so could camp out until I find a location which has the advantage that I'd get to meet potential roommates before moving in and see actual locations.  Also I talked to one potential landlord who also happened to own a hostel in Tuscan, and he has a work exchange program that I'm eligible for since I have "hospitality" background with my housekeeping work.  So for 3 shifts a week I would have a place to stay until I figured stuff out as an option as well.

Everything else in the trip in reality will take no more then a few hours each to get in place and is just a matter of going out and doing it.

Ok.  Now I feel a little bit better about my time crunch... whew.

Adventure HO!
