As far as the accent-not-accent goes, I've heard myths that 1) midwesterners supposedly have 'no' accent or a very slight one, and 2) that we do indeed blatantly mispronounce random words because we don't know any better. Go figure.
And yeah, just about every place has nice places and less than friendly places--I'm lucky enough to be in a suburb of a pretty huge city, so I get to keep things exciting without having to deal with an inner-city crimerate. It's quite pleasant.

2) If you became Ruler of the World, what (aside from the typical 'ruling the world') would you do?

4) What inspired you to start writing? And what kind of things do you like writing best?
