I'm really digging this story idea that I managed to obtain tonight. Picture an AU of the 'The Timeless Children' where the Master fucked up by unlocking the Doctor's past, and might have awoken an eldritch horror instead. Also works with the old Classic Who theory that the Doctor was possibly a reincarnation of the Other- one of the 3 founders Gallifrey, but from a whole other dimension. \o/
A snippet:
She stands up, and when she opens her eyes- the hazel color is gone. Like the stars have died in her eyes, and all that's left is emptiness.
The Master swallows as he sees the Doctor's hair starting to lighten. Another step back when her head stops lolling around on her shoulders, and now she's staring at him. A final step back when he sees a flicker of a slowing growing outline. It's almost as if the Doctor's full existence and presence could take on shape.
The Doctor grins and her teeth look sharper than before.
