Wow! What a way to end it! So little hope but they're alive for the moment--I love that.

I love how similar Sharon and Laura are in their determination to get answers. Their conversations were great.

Great stuff.

I figure, as a story about an apocalypse, it couldn't end on too happy a note. Glad you loved it!

I'm pleased their conversations came across well, this is the first time I've ever attempted to write Sharon.

I didn't know what to expect, as Raydor/Roslin intrigued me but I'm not that big on zombie fic. This was amazing!! I love that Sharon is portrayed a little older than Laura, so I had a good mental picture of the two women. The suspense was intense and I kept trying to identify who the zombies were. The explanation of who the BSG folks got here and how the zombies were created was just perfect for this kind of fic, and the idea of Sharon as a body double was inspired. There's going to be more, right? I could read this all day :-)
And I loved Sharon contemplating what to do with that last bullet because that's exactly what I would do in a zombie apocalypse.
Nice work on the claustrophobic blasted LAPD building, too. The whole work was awesome!

The zombies weren't anyone specific (only the corpse was..) but now that you bring it up, I really ought to have done that -laugh-

I had a fantastic 'eureka!' moment when I figured out how the zombies could have come about. I'm glad you agreed that it made sense for this fic.

I'm glad you loved Sharon as a body double! I had to put some reference in there to how similar (exactly the same.. except for hair color) these women are.

I've thought about doing more, but this was quite exhausting. Also, I would need to figure out all that is going on before I tried to write more of it..

So pleased that you enjoyed this!

Loved it :). I've been waiting for you to post this since you told me about it - and it didn't disappoint!

'She wondered what would be worse, surviving the initial horror to be killed by the collapsing building, or surviving the initial horror to be killed by someone she had once filed a report against.' Great line - how very Raydor LOL!

Yay you posted!!

Your zombie explanation is the best thing ever, faulty resurrection technology producing "half-lives." Totally brilliant and perfect for this story.

Such an exciting romp through LAPD headquarters. Your descriptions of the devastated scene are spot-on. I think my favorite moment is when Sharon calls Laura out on being one of them.

Totally tangentially...reading this makes me want to dig out the Raydor/Fritz story I haven't looked at since the closer went on hiatus...

Great job, lady!

Indeed! It is now upon the internet! Thank you again for all your help on this.

That was a fun moment to do, because they were both so calm about the whole thing. It's a little surprising, but the two of them just carry on the conversation without melodrama.
I think my favorite moment is after Laura pulls the ax out of the skull and says 'they scream because they can feel pain'. But I'm just a little demented.

Raydor/Fritz? Are parts of this available to be read now? Because of all I've read of Brenda cheating/leaving Fritz for Raydor, (which I find remarkably believable and in character for her -laugh-) I have a hard time picturing Fritz doing either of those things.

My Raydor/Fritz fic is so old that it's not even in my gdocs...I got hung up in the "plot" of them conspiring to convince Brenda the importance of taking seriously her defense in the civil suit filed against her. *sigh* It just seemed to me that they were very united on that front and might find it a useful excuse to meet up and...do things. :P

Perfect sense :)

'God, doesn't she realize how serious this is? Is she even aware of what's happening around her?'

"I bet she wouldn't even notice if we had sex."

'You're right.'

"Wanna do it?"

'Yes."

(Of course, your story is likely a million times better and sexier than that -laugh-)
