Sappy story of the day:
Lovesick swan falls in love with paddle boat.
We went to Hiroshima to see the memorial about the A-bomb. It was tragic to see the children's statue, dedicated to the children that died from the bombing, including those that died due to diseases from the fall-out. Lots of school groups came by to pay their respects and ring the bell. Some also brought strings of paper cranes to add to the memorial, as a sign of peace. They had bajillions of these things.
On a more recent trip, we visited Kyoto. Pictures can't capture its beauty.
Tokyo: You can't get away from those damn Dove ads. There's a giant one on the building to the right, just out of the picture, and more in the train station.
From the Harajuku district:
They had lots of shops with the girly and Lolita-style clothes, and many goth ones as well.
