Here I am, in Japan! Will update with pictures soon.
It's pretty much the same as I remember. Though, this time, it bothers me more that I can't communicate. When I was little it didn't make much difference, but now I'm used to asking questions of waiters, or making conversation, and that's virtually impossible here.
God, it's so beautiful and clean and perfect here. And Japanese kids are adorable. There are so many of them here. I'm sure they wouldn't notice if one went missing. :P It's cute. They'll come up to us and say "hello" and things, to practice their English. The Japanese men are pretty hot, too. They've got the androgyny thing down.
All the white people on the island smile and say "hi" to us, even though we don't know them. It's nice to see a 'bro', don'tcha know. It can get lonely.
Been trying to restrain myself from buying everything in sight. I could spend hours in the 100 yen shop. Already I bought slippers and a fold-up umbrella, and some of the candy that I missed (Choco-babies), and some mysterious health drinks. My hiragana and katakana are coming back to me.
Jet lag is starting to set in. Slept for about 7 hours in the middle of the day today. Had strange and frightening dreams about not being able to wake up, and being paralyzed and speechless in my bed.
I miss my friends already, but I love it here. :)
