So guess who saw the Avengers for the second time today? THIS GIRL. So this is going to be a post of all my FEELINGS and all my THINKY-THOUGHTS, with only a skim over the whole Loki subject cuz hoo-boy do I have a lot of feels and thoughts about our dear God of Mischief this time around. I promise nothing on the coherency front though, you were warned. Also I drop spoilers for both the regular Marvel universe and the Ultimate Comics universe, so dont read this if you dont want spoilers for either.

• CAN I JUST START OFF BY SAYING THANK YOU JOSS WHEDON FOR BEING A GOD OF SCREENWRITING BECAUSE DEAR GOD LET ME JUST LIVE IN ALL THE BANTER IN THIS MOVIE. BLESS YOU JOSS WHEDON. BLESS YOU I SAY
• ALSO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GIVING EVERY MEMBER OF THE AVENGERS THEIR DUE BECAUSE I LOVE HAWKEYE SO MUCH AND YOU GAVE HIM SCREENTIME AND A PERSONALITY AND SNARKY SARCASM AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT GOOD SIR

• ok. For serious, there was absolutely no part of this movie that I did not love to pieces. Seriously, it was all completely solid. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS MOVIE. I WOULD PROPOSE TO THIS MOVIE. AVENGERS 2 NEEDS TO COME OUT RIGHT THE FUCK NOW.
• well i thought the capslock was over...I'm gonna try and give each major character their due here, ok? ok. here I go.
• HAWKEYE. How much do I appreciate that they started Hawkeye off as a villain in this? SO MUCH. I hope its an intentional homeage to the comics, because man, I would die in a fangirl explosion if it was. In the comics (the original Avengers, not the Ultimates which is what the movie is mostly based off) Hawkeye is mistaken for a villain by Iron Man at first, before he sets the record straight and joins the Avengers with Wanda Maximoff and Pietro. But that is a whole other can of worms dear god do not let me start talking about the shitshow that is Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver ok I can go for hours. AHEM. I also love his whole "MAKES SHOT WITHOUT REALLY LOOKING" thing towards the end because yes he is that good. See above capslocking for more feels. I have a huge soft spot for snarky sarcastic characters. I only wish they had gotten his personality across a little bit more. And hnnnnnnnnnnng Jeremy Renner thank you for your existence you sexy thing thank you very much. Just. Wildly attracted to him.
• Speaking of people I am wildly attracted to, lets move on to BLACK WIDOW. Natasha, oh Natasha, I love you so very very very much. She is a badass in the vein of both regular Black Widow and Ultimates Black Widow, although I hope she doesn't turn out to be a traitor who gets Clint's family brutally murdered in this one. She's so fearsomly and brutally efficient and powerful, I love it like nothing else. Because Natasha is more than a hot chick in a leather bodysuit, she is a fiercely skilled and intelligent woman and a heroine in her own right, and I love how much she shines in this movie. It's always nice to have a woman who kicks ass and takes names and is so much more than just her looks in a movie. Also ridiculously attracted to this character, and she may or may not be a large part of the reason that I am 99% sure I'm bi. That was a good dream.
• ok giving each character their due was a LIE, will take too long. But IRON MAN deserves his own bullet if only because I love how much he stays the same Tony we first saw in Iron Man, but at the same time he is much more mature and much closer to the Tony in the Marvel universe now although he hasnt gone through the shitstorm of alcoholism he creates nor the whole Civil War debacle (if they work that into a movie or a miniseries or something I will literally die of happiness and excitement) so he's a mature but not jaded Tony if that makes sense? I just like all the little ways he's grown up, like with the missile and when he's talking to Bruce, but also all the ways he's stayed the same like with the Shwarma (oh god the shwarma XD)
• THE HULK also deserves a mention if for no other reason than to say GIVE MARK RUFFALO ALL THE AWARDS. He played a beautifully layered Bruce Banner, and also BRUCE-TONY BROTP 5EVA. And that line before he faced the giant alien whale thing, "I'm always angry", seriously ALL THE FUCKING AWARDS. GOOD MAN. YES. I LIKE.
• Thor I will talk about in conjunction with the Loki feels that will get a post all their own at another time
• Cap I just really like but honestly he is a fairly straightforward character in this movie compared to the rest of them
• Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I love you so much, Coulson you beautiful fanboy I'm so sorry you had to die and I hope its somehow a lie and I will miss you like crazy
• NICK FURY YOU MANIPULATIVE LITTLE BITCH WAY TO WORK EVERYTHING AROUND INTO AN OUTCOME YOU WANTED. You operate so deliciously in the gray area, and I love it, and I hope you are every inch the manipulative asshole you are in every adaptation of the comics in any sequels to come. No line in this movie is more true than when Tony says your secrets have secrets, because you are secrets incarnate

Ah yes there is no more bullet points to be had, which brings us to THE END-OF-MOVIE CLIP WITH THE CH'TAURI AND THE HOPEFUL VILLAIN OF OUR NEXT MOVIE.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR THANOS WITH HIS PLANS AND HIS FASCINATION WITH DEATH AND DID YOU SEE THAT GRIN AT THE END WHEN THE GROSS DUDE WAS ALL "TO FACE THEM IS TO COURT DEATH" THATS WHAT HE WANTS OH MY GOD I'M SO EXCITED YOU GUYS WHERE THE FUCK IS THIS MOVIE IT NEEDS TO BE IN PRODUCTION RIGHT THE FUCK NOW I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING.

Ahem. Yes. Thats all for now, Loki feels will be here sometime in the next few days when I work them out in my head. I'll just say that I am far less sympathetic towards him in this movie because he is far more unhinged than he was in Thor, at least to me.
