This morning I woke up and baked bread. After that I did some laundry and went to the park to play ultimate frisbee. Now I am in Panera, using their wireless like the fiend I am.

In other news, I'm really enjoying my job. Taking animals into classrooms and then teaching about them and the environment is really fun. Of course, I'm still shadowing and training, but so far so good. This past week I started my animal handling. I got to hold a tenrec for the first time in my life. A tenrec, for those of you who don't know, is a hedgehog-like creature. It has a muscle on the top of its head that, when the tenrec sense danger, it pulls this muscle over its eyes. This pulls the spikes down over its face, so it is very difficult to distinguish it from a bump on a tree, since there is no clear body outline. I think this is a neat adaptation.

Here are some pictures from work.
