here's the day we hoped would never come;
welcome, everyone to the day we hoped would come and now that's it's hear, wish we could reverse..
as i walked down the hallways these past few months, i've come to realize.. we'll never be walking down them as students of this school ever again. it got harder and harder with every day to not cry - but why? we should be celebrating! we're done, it's over, we made it! but this is for those of us who were scared of not making it. those of us not the cookie cutter mold of a perfect student, but made it anyway. for us who had to bust our butts to pass and work our way up the ladder to where we are now.
today, we have that so well known and overused "ending of a chapter" we will never get back . we've walked our final laps around grant park. the places and faces we've come to relate to and love will now become a memory. our ABCs and 123s are long forgotten, we're growing up and growing old.. we're making due and making our way now. maybe we're all afraid of what's ahead, but they can never take away our memories.
it's done. and who would have thought that we'd all be standing here today, together in our cap and gown? who would have thought high school would go by in such a blur? what happened to grade 9? what happened to forever? i never could wait until high school was done - but i guess these really miust be the days of our lives because i just want them back...we've waited forever.. and today is our day... congratulations class of 2007. we did it.
