An article and the movie

Yesterday I read in newspaper an article with a title Students on casting. It was about big raise of rent paid by students for apartaments. Owners of those apartaments have their own priorities. They don't want to rent an apartament to:

  1. people from Kielce, cause they don't like this city,
  2. students from cities and towns placed far away from Cracow, cause those students won't be going home often and spend more time in the apartament,
  3. students of informatics, cause they spend most of their time in front of the computer, clean up the place and wash themselves rarely and cause of it they stink,
  4. men, cause they smoke and party a lot,
  5. women, cause they spend a lot of time in bathroom wasting water and electricity,
  6. couples of man and woman, cause when they split up, there will be problem with free room,
  7. one-sex couples, cause it's suspicious and the owner doesn't want to have lesbians under his roof.

Owners invite dozens of people in one time and ask loads of questions like Do you have boyfriend/girlfriend? How much you get paid? What music you listen to? Who will you be living with? Some of the owners rent the apartament (flat) to couples under the condition that they're married. If they're not, they have to search further.

Sad anniversary and the movie

On Monday there is anniversary of Soviet Union's agression on Poland. On the same day there is an official premiere of Andrzej Wajda's movie Katyń about massacre in Katyń Forest, where about 22,000 Polish officers were killed (I wrote a post about it at political fiction community some time ago). Wajda's father was killed in this massacre. I think I will go to see this movie. Most of the cinemas will start to show this movie on Friday, 21st September.
