These were a lot of fun to make. I really wanted to play with some new skills, working with textures (creating them on my own and using them from downloads on my PC), layer masks, and doing a little more than just bases/blending. I really love the coloring tools GIMP has. Its such a simple way to make the icon so eye catching! I still hate fonts ( Read more... )

Well, i'm new to textures myself, normally i do most of the derping around with gradients and lighting myself, but i thought i'd download a few new resources and try it myself.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I tend to enjoy making my own lighting, playing with curves and the like on GIMP. There are some really powerful lighting tools on that program, you just have to learn how to use them. lol. That said, sometimes textures can be reallly fun to manipulate. I've been playing around with making some textures myself but I still haven't really got the hang of it. lol.

Wow, it's so creative of you to not only do a crossover with this set, but also to tell a story with it! I really like the composition and text and coloring of #9!

Aww, thank you! A lot of this is my obsession with crossovers - I love AU's and trying to bend worlds to each other. And well. If Zombies - why not throw werewolves into the mix?

I'm really glad you like number nine! It was one of the first I created for this set, and I'm still not totally sure how I feel about it. ^__^
