*twitches* Lord Vetinari does not go "man". At most he'd go "old boy", "old chap" or even "lad". He would NOT go "She's controlling you, man". Oh and as I might see him lend a gentle hand to a friend (I'm trying to keep an open mind here) he would NOT stoop as low as to meddle in their affairs directly. NONONONO! He has a city to run... and not any city: think of New York, place it in victorian ages, now add Wizards, Werewolves, Scheming nobles, Guilds of every kind and tibetean monks -- you are close to Ank-Morpork. He would not worry about inter lover problems.
