Do you know this song? *points to current music* OMG, I LOVE IT!!! *LOLOLOLOL* Go and listen to it, then go and buy it. Or just buy it at once *lol* And the video is so hilarious. Awww, Ì really gotta watch "School Of Rock".

Anyway, tomorrow is my last day in Germany, and I'm still not nervous. Spent the afternoon at my mother's ma, drinking tea, eating German xmas cookies, and smoking *lol* One of my aunts forgot a full pack of ciggies weeks ago, so I took it. Smoked two ciggies, which is about as much as I smoke in one year normally *g* Now I've got 17 more cigarettes, which will, under normal circumstances, take me eight years to smoke. I'll prob give them away. Maybe later, as I'm going to the gym to say bye and chat a bit.

Uh, now "Down Under" by Men At Work is playing!! Wheeeee!! *dances*

Today I was laughing and almost crying at the same time... Aww. I love Watson. I only have a few more short stories of the canon to read, and the last twenty or so stories have, in some cases, been VERY slashy. But the last story I read - "The Adventure of the Three Garridebs" - OMGOMGOMG *ROTFL* First of all Holmes is so clearly showing his love for Watson, which really almost choked me, and then there is one sentence, which just made me burst out laughing in the middle of all the angst.

I felt a sudden hot sear as if a red-hot iron had been pressed to my thigh. There was a crash as Holmes's pistol came down on the man's head. I had a vision of him sprawling upon the floor with blood running down his face while Holmes rummaged him for weapons. Then my friend's wiry arms were round me, and he was leading me to a chair.

"You're not hurt, Watson? For God's sake, say that you are not hurt!"

It was worth a wound -- it was worth many wounds -- to know the depth of loyalty and love which lay behind that cold mask. The clear, hard eyes were dimmed for a moment, and the firm lips were shaking. For the one and only time I caught a glimpse of a great heart as well as of a great brain. All my years of humble but single-minded service culminated in that moment of revelation.

"It's nothing, Holmes. It's a mere scratch."

He had ripped up my trousers with his pocket-knife. HONESTLY!! How am I supposed to keep my mind off the gutter with such sentences?! *doubles over*

"You are right," he cried with an immense sigh of relief. "It is quite superficial." His face set like flint as he glared at our prisoner, who was sitting up with a dazed face. "By the Lord, it is as well for you. If you had killed Watson, you would not have got out of this room alive.

And then, later: "I leaned on Holmes's arm, and together we looked down into the small cellar which had been disclosed by the secret flap." Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! Can't someone draw that?

There are so many wonderful small slashy bits... Like in "the Adventure Of The Dying Detective": "'There are the wheels, Watson. Quick, man, if you love me!'" Course he does *lol* Or here, from "The Adventure Of The Bruce-Partington Plans": "'I knew you would not shrink at the last,'" said he, and for a moment I saw something in his eyes which was nearer to tenderness than I had ever seen. The next instant he was his masterful, practical self once more." Okay, thorry, I'm stopping already. I just love them so much *sigh* Even not-slashy, they're just the most darling best buddies ever *melts* And now I'm going to read on :)

elementary!
