Whoops, sorry for confusing you!

You're right when you're talking about personal LJs - that's no one's business. What does rile me up enormously is this sort of thing going in communities or forums, especially if they're official. And I don't mean simple voicing of dislike, I mean the vicious stuff. It's probably my biggest pet peeve, and when I go to a forum to look at some pictures of a guy I like attending a premiere with his SO, then this sort of thing makes me so pissed off it actually ruins my day. It's silly, but true. Plus no one has ever told me how often they go to the loo, so why should I comment? Throwing around this stuff in an open community calls for an answer, though. Freedom of speech doesn't include freedom from response - which also means I'm perfectly fine with your answer. Hell, I'm glad everytime I can talk to someone who has a different opinion without it turning into a bitchfight. Bad memories, I'm telling you.

Aww *hugs* You know, I think the only way to settle this is a bikini mudwrestle fight - you bring the mud, I bring the camera...?

I completely agree with everything you said, actually. It's one of the main reasons why I don't like forums. Some people in those places act like they're writing their own blogs. I usually feel like "That is your own personal LJ-friendly", know what I mean?! Go open yourself a blog and write about everything that springs to your mind. I don't like forums in general because of that. Because everyone is together at one place and you have to put up with both people you like and don't like. While on LJ you choose yourself friends who will have you on their F-list and read your thoughts, you CAN comment in communities, but you don't have to. Whatever you like... Like you said, there are people on forums who are so freely stating their opinions on something for which they're bound to get in the conflict over because not everyone on the forum thinks the same. AND not to mention the TMI factor.

you bring the mud, I bring the camera...?
Sounds like a plan. ;P
