Apart from being a gorgeous cruise ship, the Queen Mary 2 has got the biggest swimming library in the world. So, just for fun, I mailed the cruise line and asked if I could serve an internship. Answer: nah, but please apply for a proper job - we totally need another librarian. o_0 Too bad. I would have loved to go on board for three months or so, but the thing is that as proper board librarian you're on sea for eight months, and then have a four month holiday. No way I'm spending eight months in a crummy cabin away from everything and then go back to my parents for four months of looking for an interim job. Bleh. I would love to just go somewhere for a few weeks or months before starting a real job.
Finally downloaded the Doctor Who movie. Aww, Seven. The Doctor of my childhood :) And yeah, the movie is absolute crap, but I can forgive everything, 'cause Eight? Totally adorable &hearts He's such a dashing and dorky Victorian hero, he's made my top three of Doctors. Lovelovelove him. Oh, and the movie's got the fucking best Tardis joke EVER. I was on the floor, it's so brilliant. So, the verdict is: watch it. It's crack.
