when I got back to my empty room I suppose I must have cried

happy]

[and listening to "Thousands Are Sailing" by The Pogues]

So my oldest friend had her church wedding yesterday.

One thing to the actual ceremony: I am so glad I'm an atheist. If I had to endure all this disgusting talk of how a marriage consists of three, and how GOD is more important than your partner in life and OMG children asap I'd probably end up killing the bloody pastor. Wanker. Obviously the bride's mother thought so, too, as she had to be rushed to the hospital immediately afterwards. The last few weeks were just a bit much, plus the excitement and everything. But fortunately she was okay again after a few hours and re-joined us.

After the ceremony we drove to the Sophienhöhe, which is a small mansion Regina's parents own and lease as a hotel-restaurant. Of course my pics are crappy as always, but it's going to take two weeks or so until I get the official ones and the ones from Gina's father. Woe. Especially the official photographer did so lovely ones of us girls together :(

awwwwwww *sniffs*

During that game both held their shoes in their hands, one of each. Katrin (the girlfriend of Gina's brother) then asked them questions about their relationship, such as "Who does more in the household?", "Who is more looking forward to having children?", etc. Then they had to hold up the show of the one they thought did. They're quite good, too - only missed three times out of fifteen.

Another game was a variation of Musical Chairs. Thirteen of us took part, for example both fathers and us girls. When the band stopped playing, we weren't to sit down immediately, but get an item Katrin read out first, and then hurry back to the chairs and sit down. Amongst those items were glasses full of water, a man's right shoe, a coin, and a cheque card. It got quite violent in the end - once I elbowed Mario's father out of the way, once Gina's father shoved me behind him. But I came third :) The extra thought was that the winner got a "romantic candlelight dinner", while the other got a postcard. Each postcard had a month and a task for the wedding couple written on it. You had to write your name on the card and then give it to Gina and Mario, and a week before the month starts, they call you up and remind you of your task. Tasks were presenting them with a bottle of champagne, inviting them to the cinema and the ice cream parlour, or even vacuuming their whole flat *lol* I'm so lucky - in June I'm going to take them out to play minigolf for a day XD The last item to retrieve was a first aid kit *LOL* Everyone rushed out into the parking lot to watch. In the end Simone won, and got her romantic candlelight dinner - an instant meal and a tealight *snorts*

Mario also "sang" for his wife. Don't ask. She's already considering filing for divorce *g*

Please excuse me while I tear up again. And yeah, good pictures later.
