Have a great day!
My dreams are always a source of entertainment in the morning when I try to figure out why the hell I dreamed that. One of the things I dreamed last night was sitting in a little café by the beach with Kate Moss and her boyfriend. You know him. That tall dude. In other words, Seal *headdesk* I mean, REALLY. I'm just glad it wasn't the other way around - Pete with Heidi Klum would have seriously freaked me out.
So. After running into Stephen (mhm... oh, sorry) I went upstairs, took a shower, packed my stuff, and left for Walk The Walk, a game at the Cavern, where volunteers had to do the Postman's Walk from "Going Postal". So much fun. Poor guys, though.
Then I met up with Pats as we had to check out *sigh* Started queuing for The Trial Of Vetinari. That's just what it says - a trial to find out if Vetinari is good or bad for Ankh-Morpork, with the audience as the jury, a judge, witnesses, defense, and attorney. Well, and Stephen as Vetinari, of course ;) So, as soon as everyone's settled a voice tells us to stand up for the judge, and in walks - Vetinari *LOL* Bruce, the attorney, only sputters, the audience is on the floor laughing, and Vetinari just sits down, grins, and goes "Tyrant!" *LMAO*
So, the first witness was Terry himself. He made a grand speech about how Vetinari crept up on him, being just a random character at first, but demanding more and more attention as Terry went along.
The best part was when Terry said Vetinari was "insidious, outsidious, and plain sidious - but the girls like him!" Oh yes, we do &hearts The boys, too, Terry ;)
Then he made the mistake of saying something critical, and Vetinari had him ushered off stage, claiming "that man knows nothing!" And Terry points at him and says "we could have another fat Patrician, you know!" *GGG*
There were some other witnesses for Vetinari, and then the defense and the attorney both made speeches. Then Vetinari asked us, the jury, to choose sides - but also asked if we didn't believe it would be better if Vetinari ruled in Roundworld, too. Then the people thinking he was a bad thing for the city had to stand up - maybe twenty did. Vetinari smiles sweetly and tells Drumknott to note down their names *eg* Then he asked who considers him a good ruler, and all the rest of us stood up :)
After that we just hung around a bit and then watched the "Pyramids" play. That was the only thing I didn't enjoy, I thought it was quite awful. Then again I was very tired. And then the Closing Ceremony came :(
I don't even want to write about that, it was too sad.
*cries*
The committee :)
We then took a cab to the station and went to Luton Airport, flying up to Glasgow. Arrived in Stirling around midnight, if I remember correctly, for a few more great days in Scotland - pictures in the next entry ;) And I still have some lovely Con pictures someone else did, I'll post them some time in the next week - without long stories, don't worry ;)
