hahahaha yeah right. No matter what happens Rose is OUT in May. She's so rediculous.

**get ready for the Rose rant!**

She doesn't know her alphabet from a hole in the ground. I found the Ring 2 in with the P's today in the movie cabinet! I have to constantly shelfread (read the spines on the shelves so all books are in right order) or walk behind her when she puts books away because she NEVER puts things in the right places. NEVER. Always have to "drawer-read" as I call it... like shelfreading exept in the moveie drawers...like I said before- Ring 2 in the P's. WHY?!?!

And when she checks out books...forget it...

most of the time she doesn't put a card number on the card or doesn't stamp the borrower's card, book card or book, like I said before her alphabet is horrible, she lets people walk out without checking things out, she lets just anybody use the computers. (if they have a fine, no borrower's card, or aren't cleared to use the internet we don't let them. children under 18 have to have a parent sign a waiver in front of us so if they pull up anything bad it's not our fault) She almost never keeps attendance (anytime someone comes into the children's room we mark them in so it shows the state how many people we get in and stuff). She has no idea how to work a computer... I had to show her for the bajillionth time today how to START IT UP. Come on. Even a 2 year old can turn on a computer. Right?

This lady is going in May come hell or high water! She's the reason why i'm so stressed out (and gaining weight/getting gray hair already!)

Maybe my aunt will let me take her position. hee.

Could really use you here! Absolutely positive someone from even another country could do a better job than her! :D

Oh GOSH. That's terrible! How did she ever get the job in the first place?! Sounds horrible. I'm sorry. It's awful when you have to work for your colleague :( You should get the position!

Well, I could apply when I've finished ;) It'd be funny to go to the US for a year or so (but I guess it'd take years to get a GC and stuff).

Well... she got the job because out of a whole five applicants, she's the only one that responded back. The other four either didn't answer Jackie or already found part-time jobs that conflicted with the library hours.

A GC? What would that be?

It wouldn't be funny, it'd be EXCELLENT!! Even though I dont have actual room at my house, you could stay with my grandmother (she'd LOVE you!). She only lives about five blocks from me here in Keyport.

*dreams of chillin wit mary*

Can you imagine working together? We'd probably still be calling each other by our Chickie names! haha.

You should come now! You can finish studying at Brookdale! It's an excellent school! :P (Curiousness: do you study in German or English?)

Oh dear. I see.

A green card.

Aww, wouldn't that be great? We'd do all sorts of crazy stuff :)

Uh, in German, of course ;) It's confusing enough sometimes without being in another language *lol*

What sort of things do you study anyway? The Dewey Decimal system? haha. jk. seriously...there can't be that much going into this job.

Uhm, I think you misunderstood what I'm doing *lol* Library Science is not about shelving or sitting at the checking desk, this is what library assistents do in Germany - they have to do an apprenticeship. Someone with a degree learns (amongst other things) indexing, abstracting, media law, communicational technology, media history, sociology, literature in all forms, accounting, business management, computer programming, archiving... And lots more. If I'd ever work in a public library (and I'm not very interested in that, I'd love to work in the bookselling trade), I'd be the head of a department, because I'd be over-qualified for anything else. Even in my internship more than a year ago I had nothing to do with that ;)

ohhh i see... that does sound difficult then. hehe. That's pretty much what Jackie does then. (even though she doesn't have a degree)

Well, regardless, come take Jackie's job then! haha. :P

I'll do anything to get ya over here. :D
