Dancing: De Sade vs Sabbat

Oct 13, 2008 18:11

I have been remiss in my reporting on De Sade dance nights vs Sabbat dances. De Sade and Sabbat happen on different Saturdays each month. Sabbat is held at a large club were about 100-200 people dress up like Goths. De Sade is a small club were 50-75 people are Goths. Or maybe they just seem spookier because there is less of the general public mixed in?
One of the first few times I went to De Sade I saw a dancing pony. All the club people were wearing black, but I noticed this person had on a tiny feather cap.  As she came more into view from behind I saw a long black tail. A quick side-glance rewarded me with a peek at a bridle in her mouth. Now that months have gone by I have gotten used to the more serious nighttime attendees.

The realities of dancing include possibly losing your dance floor real estate if you go off to the bathroom. I go to the bathroom more than I would like. Ms A. almost never does. This one night my Ms A. went to the Ladies room while I stayed out. Silly me. If there is a straight drunk man in a club he will eventually gravitate towards me. I always think I look grumpy and unapproachable, but nooo, some numb nut comes a callin'. I danced with him cause I was bored anyway. He was very amusing. I asked his name and he said, "Why bother, would anyone remember later?"  I said, "Yes, because I was not drunk." Glen told me his name and proceeded to go to town. He was getting a little too happy when a friend of his showed up and attracted his attention. Perfect timing. Ms A. was very amused watching the whole thing go down from behind. Nothing funnier than watching a drunk guy try to grind on a friend and fail.
