Burning Banned Books
I had a disturbing thought the other day and I really wanted to write it down. I want to see if it sounds semi-sane spelled out?
The new Kindle Fire came out. It is a full color book reader, plus extras. It is very shiny. I love Books & I have a full library worth of them to prove it. Several friends have already switched over to eReaders and keep telling me of their love of the large text screen option. Other people have quietly complained that they cannot share books like they used to. But, I am sure the sharing options will get cleared up and everyone can have whatever they want.
This is where things went horribly wrong for me. Some years down the line. Long after most people have switched to eReaders, data will start to disappear. In the future when "They" ban a book all they need to do is hit delete. That scares me a bit. I have read a lot of books and seen a lot of movies and I see something wicked this way comes.
I am not normally paranoid and I do not see conspiracy theories everywhere. Except for the conspiracy that forces me to go around some snail who has parked his turtle in the fast lane. Other than that, we are all good…until a few days ago. I feel as if I fell asleep in a SciFi movie. I am sure someone else saw this scary movie and I bet the book was better!
