Ai yi yi! Poor Kitty!
I forgot that they were going to fix the holes the wall from the electrician ... in the basement bathroom!
So the calico made a bolt and rushed up the steps ... and finding the first floor a living nightmare, she bolted for the top floor to discover ....
SHEER TERROR! Everything was covered in plastic sheeting ... by the time I made it up their she was sitting wide eyed and trapped behind plastic sheeting. She kept trying to find a way out .. so I walked behind the desk and called her name .. she ran like nobody's business to me.
As I motioned her to follow me, she noticed the bedroom door and tried to get into bed .. but no .. it too was covered in plastic. She began making mew sounds ... I coaxed her toward me again ... she literally jumped into my arms.
She buried her head in my shoulder and her claws into my robe as we walked slowly back to the basement.
"Do not leave me please!"
After loads of stroking and cuddling, she finally settled down ... enough that I did not have to hold her in my arms constantly ... she eventually went to sleep ... with her ears at full alert that is
Alberto on the other hand has convinced me to let him give me a quote for the fence, the exterior painting and replacing some broken and/or cracked window panes. We will see ...
