The FDA is calling for a ban on fresh spinach. A single supplier, Natural Selection Foods, based in San Juan Bautista, Calif supplies spinach for Dole, Trader Joe's and other national brands. It is believed that this grower is the source of the E. coli outbreak that has already taken one life and made nearly 100 other people very ill. The outbreak has hit nearly 20 states, so far.
