This is interesting. About 8 years ago, I had considered developing mindmap software as a business. What they are calling a mindmap however is more accurately called an associative graph, not a map. Cool -- I sent for my map as well. As you know, my ugrad research was in cognitive science/AI/neurolinguistics -- the way our brains are wired for categorization, how neural networks work, etc, so this stuff hits me squarely in my own geek trigger ;>

My gods, is there anything in geekdom that we two do not have the same interest in?

My grad degree focused on human engineering, utilizing cognitive psychology amoung other things. I also was the technical liaison for Bell Atlantic for a research project that was located at Stevens U on software agent technology. I was so taken with the virtual reality, software agent technology and early web based attempts at visualization (esp @ MIT), my doctorate was going to be on using virtual reality or other visually based interfaces to assist human comprehension within non-trivial problem domains - or something like it.

Total GEEK! Yea!
