No way to leave

How am I supposed to delete my account here at LJ? A search in Help for "close account" or "delete account" yields nothing. I looked at open requests for help, and the most recent request by someone else for deleting their account has no responses at all.

It's not a paid account, but I would still like to completely delete it. I just can't figure out how.
