A continuation of my trip to Osaka...

Day 3 31st December
Our itinerary of the day is going to Arashiyama which is located a little to the northwest of Kyoto. After getting on the wrong train which is an express train (much more expensive) we manage to safe ourselves and change train to local one on one of the station. Most tourist will access this area by tourist bus but boy were we glad we took the road less taken. The environment is simply breathtaking when we arrived at the Arashiyama station. It was so serene and quiet I feel like buying a house and settle there immediately! I mean during our journey on train all the surroundings just mesmerized me!

I feel like I've arrived at a train station in Narnia. A bonus when we saw workers wash the train... it's a nonexistence sight in our country so we were amaze XD so from the station we walk towards the famous Togetsukyo Bridge.

On our way there we were greeted with this soothing and fascinating surroundings throughout our path. As I said there are not many people because this is not a tourist spot(the path I mean). As a landscape architect I have to say my bias in taking pictures is of course the landscape. It especially adds up that these beautiful view is complimented with such serene surroundings. So quiet and peaceful and watching locals doing their everyday routine.

Then we arrived at the Togetsukyo Bridge. Although the view might be better during spring and Autumn but it's still gorgeous during winter nevertheless!

Next we are making our way to the Bamboo Forest and we decided to take the trail. There are barely anyone around so it's a free style walk for us! XD love the design, love the surroundings, love the culture (there are locals washing the street as we passed by *__*)

The lake offer a service for boat cruising but it was close during winter :( it must be awesome if we get to ride that! but look at the water! so clear and blue!! Before arriving at the bamboo forest we go through this terrain that we all thought could be perfect for a battle war scene due to it's landform :D it was quite rough climbing up a slope during winter though! ^^;;

And finally we arrived at the bamboo forest! The downside of this is our serene moment ended coz we've arrived at the tourist spot and there's suddenly so many people and its har to take pictures!! but it was memorable nevertheless! it was magnificent just like we saw it on the net!

After that we proceed to go to the Tenryu-ji. What a splendor of beauty! Although most of the leaves are gone but we are still welcome by a breathtaking sight! Quite proud of myself when I manage to capture a pretty bird eating plum on the tree though XD

\
This four view is my treasure! I can't take my eyes off it! and I felt like I have to slap myself to make me believe that I am actually at the place that before this I can only view on pictures!

Japanese landscape at it's finesse!!!

Looks like i have to make an entry for each day considering the pictures I wish to share with you guys! So I have to stop here and continue in another part~ Next up is USJ!!!!!
