(Scrappy Quilt) Other quilting

My sister-of-the-soul, ciorstan, is going to be the ultimate recipient of the Scrappy Quilt I'm working on. I'm starting with the blocks from the Scrap-Happy Sampler Quilt on About.com, but they reveal the blocks erratically, so I'm going to throw a few extra scrappy blocks in to fill it out a bit. The original planned quilt has twelve 12" blocks. That would make a lap quilt, unless setting squares or sashings are added very abundantly. So I'm adding to the mix.

So far, I've made the seven blocks that have been revealed. There are only five more to be revealed. I'm going to add one called Framed Friendship Star to the mix today. I've got a number of others planned, which I'll comment on as I do them.

Most of these blocks have been assembled by hand. I do them while I'm watching TV with aeddie, or when I'm waiting for something. I've done a few of them at lunchtime talking with Ciorstan.

I am making the blocks ALL out of stash. I might use new stuff for the backing, and I'll definitely have to get the batting new, because I don't have a stash of that.
