Yeah, updating this list here had been on my list of way-overdue things-to-do for the past, oh, 6 months or so *eyeroll* Better late than never, I guess. But when I update my profile, I'm still going to include a link to the list on my blog, because that's still going to be the one I update the most often, simply because it's easier and I can't always update both list every time I add/remove something.
And I am glad you enjoyed my recs so far! :) I'm getting to know your tastes a little so of course that should tweak the odds in our favor ;)) I'm hoping this list might be of use to other people out there; I haven't seen a list of zine recs similar to this one anywhere else. Myself when I'm trying to find new stories to read, I have to go through a mutltitude of sources - other fans, yahoogroups posts, K/S Press, Fanlore listings, publisher's sites, and so on; if I can save others the trouble, all the better :).
You what the best part of this rec-hunting is? Sometimes I feel like I have gone through all the "classics" or what I was told were "the best" in the fandom, and then suddenly I hear about a completely new (to me) author and/or zine that people rave about, I track it down, and wow! It is indeed as great as people made it to be, and yet I had never heard about it before that. It's what happeend with KS T'Lan, and right before that Roberta's Velvet Depceptions. Right now I'm reading a new zine I just received, Sun and Shadow, a pre-slash/H/C zine that I have high hopes for. So far, it's not mind-blowing, but all the stories are solid and very nicely written. I'll keep you updated!
