Definitely milk

Apr 13, 2010 16:46

My room absolutely gives the impression of standing in a bottle of milk. Except for the part where the blue of the hall is reflecting oddly and convincing me it needs another coat of paint when it physically cannot. Also I have finished the second coat of undercoating for the woodwork and the blue is still showing. How this is happening I do not know. Leverage crew are confused too.

It's also surprisingly hard to find a semi-hard case for my camera. Did resilience and portability go out of fashion or something? I really don't need another bag. I mean, some of them are very pretty, but I don't use half the ones I have already. Aged aunt is equipped with new SD cards though, so that's done at least. I don't need a 16 gig card. I don't. Honest.

And next-door's handyman asked me what school I'm at while we were all out observing the epic failure of the delivery lorry's steering (the wheels were pointing opposite ways. There was much flailing, cursing and banging). Next-door and I proceeded to nearly fall over laughing and somewhere in there he was informed I am out of school ten years. He didn't look convinced. I am both hugely entertained and greatly disconcerted. I thought I'd made at least to looking in my twenties, even in jeans and guddies.

I want to watch Treme, but I can't see it anywhere yet. I'm turning into one of those people who watches everything HBO and Dave Simon produce, clearly.

ETA: The gorgeous version of Moon River the Josh Ritter did for Daytrotter is being horribly undermined by my ingrained impulse to sway wildly from side to side. This is what the Music Service does to you. Although I'm sure it was mostly Ciaran's fault, because frankly, any weird habits from my teenage years that don't come from the Centre are usually his fault.

music, oh help, life, tv
