All over bar the cleaning

I have very nearly moved house.
I am once more negotiating the complicated logistics of arranging a bedroom that has a hearth still in it (front room bedroom, whee). So far, it consists mostly of stacking everything behind the wardrobe.  And bemoaning the lack of space for bookshelves. But its an acceptable trade-off for a south facing bay window, giant wardrobe, decent kitchen and double glazing. I am cheap for double glazing and a kitchen you can turn round in, yes. Also, I have a sofa in the bay window.

Having been moving house since half ten, I have now achieved a nearly-zen state of over-tired; R: 'You look a bit tired. And a bit mad.'
Honestly, I think I've achieved crazed. But everything except the kitchen and the sofa-bed have been moved over. Gerry's car got a serious workout. Em volunteered to be my minion and now she owns my soul. Ruth brought food and then went off and left us to it, and came back with yet more food. I have many inexplicable scrapes, my knees are falling off and the dust raised has to be seen to be believed. But I'm once more amazed at how much you can pack and unpack in two days.

And going to go collapse now I think.

house, adventures in packing, family
