Hello and welcome! I'm Reaux, I run the fursuit track at Fur the More :)

One important thing to remember is you don't need a suit to go to a furry con! Only about 20 - 25% of furry convention attendees have fursuits, and most do not wear them the entire time. It's totally fine to come without a suit! If you really want to have some kind of furry wear or accessory, you could make or purchase a tail, a set of ears, or a collar! Some vendors will probably even be selling these at the con.

Many people with fursuits will lend them out, but usually only to close friends. Fursuits are really expensive, sometimes costing into the thousands of dollars. Not to call you untrustworthy, but most people probably won't trust a stranger with such a large investment! One thing you can try to do is attend local meets, so you can make some furry friends who, after they get to know you, might be willing to lend out a suit to you. I also help run the Delaware Furbowl in Delaware (that's where I live!), which you can get info on at thefurststate.com. Also check out MDFurs.org for meets that are probably more local to you!
