i'm sick and tired of the minimalization of vaginas in art history. not saying that we should go back and change them, because that's doccumentation of the time, but hell... if i EVER see another nude without labia and with NO indication of hair, after asking whether or not that was how the model really looked i'm gonna take it off the wall, pop a squat and piss on it.
and when they ask me what the hell i'm doing, i'm gonna say "she looked like she'd been needing a good pee for a long time now. since anatomically she couldn't do it herself, i thought i'd help her out."

people used to think it was vulgar to have even the slightest indication of pubic hair. apparently the madonna-whore complex is deeper than we thought. and, more importantly, the virgin mary, because of her purity, must have been a bald kitten, too. a bald, jew kitten. riiiight.
