Amazing Faces is coming soon!
I can't wait to see the latest poetry anthology by Lee Bennett Hopkins-- AMAZING FACES, published by Lee & Low. It promises to be a beautiful collection, celebrating a wide diversity of people at work and play.
I was so honored when Lee asked me if I'd like to write a poem called "Firefighter Face" for the collection. I am delighted that my poem will be in AMAZING FACES, along with poems by illustrious poets such as Langston Hughes, Jane Yolen, Nikki Grimes, and more.
Then there's the illustrations by Chris Soentpiet-- they're incredible! They capture such a beautiful range of ages, races, facial expressions and interactions. I'm so proud to be part of this book! It's coming soon.
