Or maybe Day Five, depending on how you're counting? The Blues Fest was awesome - the best one yet, really - and now we are on an adventure to see the ocean. :)
Not close to the ocean yet, though; today we drove from Porquis down to North Bay and are spending the night in Nipissing residence. It's a newer residence, and the building we're in is apartment-style. We have one room in a four-room suite, and I am glad to have the use of a refrigerator overnight!
We went for dinner at a place called Mexicali Rosa's, which is part of a chain but our server was telling us that this particular location is quite independent from the chain hive-mind. All of their salsas and sauces and everything are made in-house, their guacamole and deep-fried ice cream were crazy good, and I am so in love with the giant mural on their patio wall, which I quickly recognized as the work of
Lynn Johnston (around here she's a local artist! - her studio is in nearby Corbeil). Tragically, I didn't have the camera with me... goal for the rest of the trip: never be without camera!!
Tomorrow: Montréal! Now: sleeping.
