Chilling in the lab
So, this is my second last day in the lab :) and I think that I might actualy have DNA... The first gel was promissing but not conclusive, if I have DNA, it's in pieces too large to fit into the gel. Which is really cool and kind of what I want. So this gel I'm running right now will take care of that.
I can't beleive that I leave for Canmore in less like 5 days. I have so much to do... so many people to see and party with. I think that I overloaded this summer. Perhaps next one I'll take a rest.
I'm almost finished Sphere- the book Linda lent to me. It's pretty good. Lots of action. Not as much psycology as there could have been but I definitly see how it would make a good movie... if I rent it, will people watch it with me? As I near the end, some things are making more sense without being clearly stated. Although I'm really interested in marine life- particulary octopi, I don't think that I ever want to be in one of those underwater bunker- high pressure- funky air mix things. I'm not usualy clostrophobic but I think that I would be if I was several thousand feet under water. There are other things that I wish to discuss about this book but I think I'll save it until I see people who have read the book or seen the movie- ie/ Linda and Ryan.
