I'm at the public library. I had to sign an agreement that says I can't look at porn or download stuff (damn...) but I'm here. And I forgot my flash drive, so y'all are gonna have to wait for fic. And you're going to be spammed with fic when I come back. I have all the gift!fics done and titled and everything (and am staving off an Alice fic at the moment) and I should probably be working on the next chapter of Children's Rhymes.
Oh, well.
We're settling in nicely at the apartment. My upstairs neighbor snores. Wanna know how I know? I can hear him. We still don't have internet hooked up there, but we're working on it because my sister has a research paper coming up and she's anal-retentive about checking her grades.
I've been dying without fic, peeps. I copy/pasted SilverShine's completed works when I had the chance, but neglected everything else because I knew HoC would take a while to read and I kind of figured we'd have internet service by the time I got done with it. I've been withering away without the awesome ladies at the comms and hearing from you ladies.
On the other hand, I've written a lot more than I would have if we had internet, and I've started on the twenty-odd books I haven't read that are gathering dust in my bookcase. Shanghai Girls by Lisa See isn't recommended. Just sayin'.
Nims, I read The Hunger Games. They were amazing. Except I really don't like Peeta. I started Hamlet. Surprisingly enjoyable without a professor breathing down my neck about assignments.
We don't even have TV at the apartment. I've been watching movies and the two TV series I have on DVD -- Buffy and Firefly. I discovered I'm a fan of Spike/Willow. (Let me have my crack, okay?)
Now I need to go talk my friend into mailing me a letter at the new address so I can get a library card and check out books. For being in the middle of nowhere, this place has a pretty decent library.
