So a bit about what ive been doing... I still dont know how to do thoes cute little cut things.. so this might be a little long
im Officially divorced as of April 9th 2010, i've got a wonderful boyfriend Jason.. who's around here somewhere... im currently residing in Harrisonburg Va
and ive gotten HUGE... most women gain weight when they get married, i apparently gained when i got divorced.
none of my Garb fits so im working on making a corset. i figured i would use this to document my progress, Ive drafted the pattern, Cut it out. Started stitching in the boning. and one thing ive learned
Grid Marks are my friend. yes thats right.. all those years i bitched and moaned about grid paper in school i now know why i was taught to use it. its so much easier to stitch in casings when you have grid marks to make them even. ive had to re stitch about 4 times not too bad all things considered. ive got about 5 hours invested so far and here's what ive got
Reed castings in front are stitched in, rope castings in side (for support with out causing that lovely stabbing thing i get with normal metal stays) ive got that about 1/4 of the way done..
Ive stabbed myself in the ass with a needle... there's the blood... the sweat and tears are coming im sure.
