Yeah, I've made my decision about gay marriage. Before last week, I never really cared. I was like, "yeah, if gay people want to get married, go for it." But if it had been banned, I wouldn't have cared either way. I just thought, "Hey, I'm straight, why should it matter to me?" Anyway, for those of you that care, I'm now very much in support of gay marriage. Sarah made a point in Euro the other day that really pushed me to that decision. She pointed out that in America we allow organizations like the KKK and the skinheads to be around, justifying it subconciously with the idea, "If they want to be wrong, let them go ahead and be wrong." But with gay marriage, we can't even give it that much. The people that are against it can't even use that same logic, which is completely ridiculous. You can't prevent something from happening just because you don't like it. That's stupid... And how can you allow organizations that promote hate to exist and ban something that is pure love... that has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard... but yeah, that's my piece for today...
