This One Time at Yearbook Camp...

Aug 04, 2005 23:40

I haven't had much time to update lately due to the fact of Yearbook camp. Yes, I know I am the coolest person in the world, now that I can say I have gone to yearbook camp. Don't laugh.

We got to ASU Student Center at 2:30, and shockingly the Starbucks was closed. I was depressed. I needed that coffee. We went into the auditorium and heard this random, old guy talk. He was the weirdest guy, and sure had a way with making everything into a sexual reference. He told us after the camp, we wouldn't be virgins, yearbook virgins that is. He said we would know all about yearbook. Too bad he can't teach me anything about yearbook, because I fall asleep during his lectures. lol Around 5 we went to the cafeteria to eat. I got some spaghetti and a salad, and was about to eat when I found out that my meal cost $6. I was outraged. Cheap cafeteria food for $6? Who are they kidding? I ate like 3 plates full of food and stole like 5 cookies because I was irritated at them over charging me. lol

Today I woke up at 6:00, and went to pick up Soni for yearbook. We met the rest of the staff to get coffee, and then headed to the camp. Once again we were forced to sit through more of Rick's wonderful lectures. He told us numerous yearbook mistakes made. One involved a center picture of the Prom king kissing the prom queen, with an accidental side heading of "Kiss the Pig" meant for the fundraiser they had. Another one, involved a crazy school therapist who the book was dedicated to, but then after exposing himself to some jr. high girls was fired. The page of the yearbook was supposed to say school therapist, but ironically it got seperated in the middle of the page and ended up being "the rapist". lol The last story was a Homecoming Queen who's yearbook staff put the font too close to the end of the page. The title ending up saying "The Homecoming Queer". Funny, but random stories from Rick the weird yearbook man. My yearbook camp experience sure wouldn't be the same without him. lol

Tomorrow is the last day of yearbook camp! Yay! We will perform our skit, and maybe win something. *crosses fingers* I'm not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow night. Probably ASU graduation with Al. ;) lol
