Haven't been on here in forever!

I need to remember to use this, there are times I want to post something on Facebook but remember about 15 people I work with are on there and it's either about work or it's something personal I don't exactly want to share with the work world.

Some fun stuff:
Gavin has moved from "army crawling" (elbows and legs) to "push crawling" (hands and pushing off with his feet--he's lurching).  It's so great!  He's also finding his voice now.  He'll babble "bababa" for a while and this past week has found out he can make high shrilling sounds (thanks to Zoe and Gareth).  Too cute.

Gareth is doing well.  We're having some issues with him not wanting to listen and we're trying to teach him about obedience and boy does it get frustrating!!  I need more of God's patience.  It makes me look at God differently, too because I'll tell Gareth (and Zoe) not to do something then the next thing I know they're doing the VERY thing we just talked about!  If I were God and this happened with my people, I'd probably knock them all of and start anew with humans that don't have free will and are completely obedient.. but in this fallen world, they'd be robots.. not so much fun.. so I pray, ask for patience, and guidance and know that this too shall pass.

Zoe is reading and sounding out lots of three-letter words like pig, bib, big, etc.  It's so cute to hear her sound out each letter to work then excited say "Mama! I can spell pig! P-I-G!"  When she's sounding them out she'll cover her mouth like she's telling secrets.  She also taught herself how to add (she's been hanging out with me and Dassah during math time).  So kindergarten will be great this fall :)

Speaking of reading, Hadassah amazes me with the things she reads!  This time last year we were struggling to get her to read (I accept the blame--we didn't start her reading at the begining of Kindergarten like we should have) and now--wow, she's reading 2nd grade level stuff.  Truly a gift from God!

Ryan's doing well. He's been reading  a lot this year which is great. Instead of spending hours on end in front of the TV he's spending it reading and has found he has MUCH more patience and less "depression" than sitting in front of the Zombie Box.  He's thinking about doing year-round school next year for the girls: 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off, with a 4-week summer break.  I've heard from other homeschooling parents that it's MUCH easier, because you as a parent need a break just as the students do.  I'm excited for that.

I'm still working and liking my job (although still wouldn't mind staying home with the kiddos).  I'm not taking classes this semester and don't really have a desire to go back at all, but I know that I need to.  It'll give us more opportunities later on, and my employer pays for the classes..so I just need to get myself motivated.  I'm also trying to lose the 30 pounds I gained before becoming pregnant with Gavin.  It's going well, but I haven't exercised in 3 weeks now.. yucky.

I've finished reading through Revelation and thoroughly enjoyed it!  Now I'm back through the Word and reading Acts--always a good read.

Well, that's about it.  Until next time!
