Today, March 8, I choose to Rant (bad) and Rave (good.)

RANT 1: "Die boyfriends die."
I by no means intend for this statement to be fulfilled. To all of you with boyfriends, I am thrilled for you; however, i have one mild complaint. To fellow females: if you have girl friends, please don't forget about them. This is far too often the case...and to a degree i understand. once you get a significant other, that person becomes all of the good stuff combined (best friend, partner in crime, and master of kisses.) But still, plese try to stay connected with your friends and remeber how it felt when you were left behind while a heard of wild buffalo crushed you. Its totally like i'm sitting in my car in the middle turn lane and traffic is streaming to the left and to the right of me. Once I get a boyfriend, i will not forget about you.

RANT 2: goodbye naievity and ignorance.
Ok, to be honest, I have always been one step behind the rest; however, i believe that innocence and purity is something that should be treasured, where as naievity and ignorance are some things that should be avoided. Though it is true that some realizations take longer to crash, they often do, and when that time comes, it pretty much sucks. For instance, I have always been patriotic and For a long time I have been interested in politics and just reading that government book discerns me. I never truly thought of all the backdealings and bribes and all the "grey matter" involved with it. But i believe in this country, and I have faith in our leaders that they will do the right things...and when i am a leader of this country one day...i will impact our country and the world for the better! :)

RAVE 1: dramatic reading competition.
Yesterday i was in for a big surprise...I won my first competition ever! it was the dramatic reading contest we had in speech class. Everyone did a FANTASTIC job! and i somehow ended up the winner. It was a happy feeling. I received a lovely card and a 25$ gift certificate to FYE!!

RAVE 2: Political Internship.
I know i just complained about politics a moment ago; however, as i told you before, i am still severely interested in it. Today was my first day at CAndace Miller's office. Everyone in the office was really nice and helpful and made me feel welcome. That is an exciting thing indeed.

So i realize my rants are longer than my raves, but at least i balanced them out somehow!
