Roses
The canes of the Wildfire rose I got from Witherspoon Rose Culture on Feb 21 died. I have been getting growth from the root stock, but the canes with the desired color are dead, dead, dead and cryin' won't bring 'em back.
So, today I called Witherspoon and they have replaced the plant. BUT, they were out of Wildfire.
Instead, I have Chihuly. (I was thinking of you as I picked it out southsage.)
And the yard guy appears to have eliminated the Pinata climber. There is a space between the Chihuly and the red on the end. It must have still been too small for them to see as they cleared the grass and laid the weed preventing fabric and mulch.
It was only $4 so I'm not in a snit. I may wait to see how the colors do before I put another one in that place. My biggest "issue", and it really isn't a big one, is that there is a gap in the spacing, now.
