JLI Goodness
So I'm working on a JLI picspam-- an ode to Booster Gold's amazing ass. I swear Kevin Maguire must have spent twice as long drawing in every contour and line of Booster's pants as he spent on drawing, well, pretty much everyone else on the team. I still have about 30 issues to go through, but I've also scanned in some random non-Booster stuff.
Ewww. When did Ted get his head stuck in a vise? I really can't stand Giffen's artwork. Major part of why I refuse to read his run on the LSH.
Notice something missing on Batman's head? Namely... his little bat ears. This just cracks me up, his head looks so oddly... vulnerable without the ears. Do they retract into his cowl? Or does he have a special cowl just for expeditions into space?
(from JLI #16. If you haven't read the comic, Batman and Fire are on an undercover mission in Bialya. Yes, Batman is undercover as himself, and no, his teammates don't realize that's his real identity.)
I LOVE this page. If I were Fire, I'd be all over that jelly too. The panel with his hand on her hip does.. things to me. Plus, I just love the way Maguire draws men (his Maxwell Lord? Totally hot.)
