First time that I saw In Plain Sight, I knew was a hidden Mary/Marshall thing going on. You know that it's going to happen. Hehe. At least we hope so.

I love your Mary/Marshall icon. I've been looking around for some Mary/Marshall icons. Very cool.

Oh, I am entirely convinced that Marshall is secretly in love with Mary and she has no idea. I definitely hope we get a little something in the future.

The storylines are kinda crap. I enjoy the sister, but Raph and the mom have GOT TO GO. (Though I do enjoy the actress who plays Jinx, but it's like, if they're trying to sell me on the idea that Mary comes from white trash, her mom isn't acting like a drunk white trash lady -- y'know, all crass and shit -- but instead she's acting like a soused suburban housewife, all giggly and flirty. I don't buy it. The sister, I buy. Mom + sister, no.

And Raph is boring, ugh.

You've explained exactly why I can't stand the mother. Blech. I just want her off my screen. I can do without the sister too, though. And Raph. I'd much prefer Bobby D for her love interest if they insist on giving her one. But I'd much rather have a strong female character whose biggest problem is not her love life.

I thought Bobby D was cute ("long story" LOL) and would be good for Mary, since he doesn't seem like he would take too much of her crap. Raph -- or is it Raf if he's Rafael -- is like, ugh. (I'm sure that guy is a very nice man but I don't like how's he's been put in as the random Latino eye candy. I mean, and of course the character is boring.)

I saw some trailers and there was a scene where [highlight for spoilerz] Mary finds out that Raph also slept with his sister -- AND HIS MOM. I don't know if they're somehow covering for something -- because it's the mom and sister who are admitting this -- or if it really happened, but if it's the latter I find that to be an extra layer of WTF because I thought Raph's point was to be, you know, a boring nice guy.

Thank you! Your overall thoughts equal mine almost exactly. The pilot episode was actually one of the later ones I watched, and it just wasn't as good as later episodes. Not that it was bad, just... not as good.
